Shepherd Men's Soccer Falls to Fourth-Ranked Charleston

Box Score CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Jermaine Windster had three goals and Felipe Antonio added a pair to lead fourth-ranked Charleston (13-2-1, 8-2-1 MEC) to a 7-0 win over Shepherd University (1-15-0, 0-11-0 MEC) in MEC men's soccer action at Charleston on Wednesday night.

Patrick Guier, Bruno Oliviera, Windster, and Antonio (twice) each scored in the first half to give the Golden Eagles a 5-0 advantage at the break.

Windster netted a pair of goals in the second half.

Will Roberts and Danilo Dias each recorded a pair of assists for Charleston.

Junior Jeff Kammerer (Woodstock, Md./Marriotts Ridge) and junior Matt Lacy (Ijamsville, Md./Oakdale) each recorded three saves in goal for the Rams. Paulo Pita had one save for the Golden Eagles.

Charleston had an 33-2 advantage in shots and a 7-0 edge in corner kicks.

The Rams return to action on Sunday when they travel to Urbana for a 2:30 p.m. contest.
