Box Score WEST LIBERTY, W.Va.  --  Shepherd University dropped a 3-1 (25-21, 21-25, 25-21, 25-22)decision to West Liberty in MEC volleyball action at West Liberty on Saturday.

Freshman outside hitter Peyton Lindblad (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) led the Rams (7-13, 2-4 MEC) with 12 kills.

Senior outside hitter Grace Simmons (Centreville, Va./Centreville) and Junior outside hitter Amanda Snowden (Hagerstown, Md./Smithsburg) each added nine kills and junior middle hitter Christine Jackson (Stafford, Va./North Stafford) had eight.

Sophomore setter Becca Kern (Martinsburg, W.Va./Musselman) (23) and freshman setter Jessica Karcz (Westminster, Md./Westminster) (12) and combined for 35 assists. Karcz and freshman outside hitter Jaila Bell (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) each had 16 digs.

Raimey Benson had 12 kills to lead West Liberty (14-10, 2-4 MEC). Lailee Cunningham added 16 digs.

The Rams return to action on Friday when they host West Virginia State for a 7 p.m. contest.
