Box Score WISE, Va. –Shepherd University (12-20, 5-11 MEC) dropped a 3-2 decision to UVa-Wise (10-23, 8-8 MEC) in MEC volleyball action at UVa-Wise on Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers recorded a 25-23, 13-25, 18-25, 25-22, 15-8 win.

Freshman outside hitter Peyton Lindblad (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) had 16 kills to pace the Rams.

Freshman outside hitter Jaila Bell (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) added nine kills, while junior outside hitter Amanda Snowden (Hagerstown, Md./Smithsburg) and Junior middle hitter Christine Jackson (Stafford, Va./North Stafford) each added seven kills.

Bell also added 19 digs and freshman libero Imani Major (Gainesville, Va./Millbrook) contributed 14. Freshman outside hitter Seone Goode (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) posted a match-high eight blocks, while sophomore setter Becca Kern (Martinsburg, W.Va./Musselman) recorded 40 assists.

Karley Allen had 14 kills and 13 digs to lead the Cavaliers. Lindsey Tucker and Erin Anderson each 11 kills.
