Box Score SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. –Antonio Kellem scored 22 points, while Dustin Sleva added 20 points and a game-high 12 rebounds to lead 22nd-ranked Shippensburg (9-0) to an 88-62 win over Shepherd University (4-5) in men's basketball action at Shippensburg on Monday night.
Senior guard
Naim Muhammad (Waldorf, Md./North Point) led the Rams with 15 points. He connected on 7-of-13 field goals with a 1-of-1 effort from the foul line.
Junior guard
Skyler Roman (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) added 13 points, while junior forward
AJ Carr (Fairfax, Va./St. James School) added 10 points and a team-high seven rebounds.
Abe Massaley had 18 points and six assists, while John Castello posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 boards for the Raiders.
Shepherd kept pace with Shippensburg throughout the majority of the first half.
The game tied at 29-all after a three-pointer by senior forward
Mike Reed (Abingdon, Md./Patterson Mill) with 6:19 left in the half, but Shippensburg closed the half on a 17-5 run to take a 46-34 advantage into the break.
Shepherd hit on 26-of-63 field goals (41.3 percent) with a 4-of-20 (20 percent) effort from three-point range. The Rams had a 6-of-8 effort (75 percent) from the foul line.
Shippensburg connected on 31-of-64 field goals (53.1 percent) with a 15-of-32 effort (46.9 percent) from beyond the arc. The Raiders were 11-of-14 from the foul line (78.6 percent).
Shippensburg had a 41-32 edge in rebounding. The Rams forced six turnovers and committed seven.
The Rams return to action on Dec. 30 when they travel to Lincoln University for a 7:30 p.m. game.
