Box Score BELMONT, N.C. – Katelin Glass scored four goals and Rebecca Luca added three to lead Belmont Abbey College (6-3) to a 10-5 win over Shepherd University (2-6) in women's lacrosse action at Belmont Abbey on Saturday.
Senior midfielder/attacker
Erin Phelan (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) led the Rams with two goals and an assist.
Junior midfielder
Haley Price (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty), sophomore midfielder
Sarah Wendt (Ellicott City, Md./Howard), and sophomore midfielder
Courtney Matthews (Monrovia, Md./Urbana) each had a goal for the Rams.
Belmont Abbey also got a pair of goals from MacKenzie Miller.
Senior netminder
Savannah Shores (Trappe, Md./Easton) recorded seven saves for the Rams. Reilly Johnson had seven saves for the Crusaders.
Belmont Abbey had a 6-1 lead at halftime.
Belmont Abbey had a 14-8 edge in ground balls while Shepherd had a 9-8 advantage in draw controls. The Crusaders had a 23-16 advantage in shots.
The Rams return to action on April 1 when they host Converse for a 3 p.m. contest.
