Box Score 2 SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shepherd University (19-10) split with Shippensburg (12-17) in non-conference softball doubleheader action at Shippensburg on Wednesday. Shippensburg gained a 5-4 win in game one, while Shepherd took advantage of eight hits and five Shippensburg errors in a 7-2 triumph in the nightcap.
Shepherd took a 2-0 lead in the third inning in the nightcap on a two-run double by sophomore pitcher

Shippensburg cut the lead to 2-1 in the fourth when Chloe Collins walked with the bases loaded to plate Tara Bicko.
The Rams added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth as freshman shortstop

Jessica Robinson (Glen Burnie, Md./Glen Burnie) each drove in a run.

Molly Staley (Port Deposit, Md./Perryville) smacked a two-run double in the fifth and junior third baseman
Alexandra Witt (Harpers Ferry, W.Va./Jefferson) had an RBI-single in the sixth to give the Rams a 7-1 lead.
Collins added an RBI-single in the seventh for Shippensburg.
Munda, Robinson, and Staley each had a pair of hits for the Rams.
Collins and Bicko each had two hits for the Raiders.
Munda (7.0 IP, 8 H, 2 ER, 3 Ks, 4 BB) (6-2) earned the win for the Rams. Colllins (7.0 IP, 8 H, 7 R, 4 ER, 4 Ks, 5 BB) (3-8) took the loss for the Raiders.
Eryn Caragein belted a solo homer in the bottom of the eighth in game one to lift Shippensburg to a 5-4 win.
Trailing 2-0, Shepherd plated three runs in the fifth to take a 3-2 lead as freshman outfielder
Connor Gilligan (Medford, N.J./Shawnee), Staley, and Witt each drove in a run.
The Raiders scored a pair of unearned runs in the sixth before Munda walked and later scored when Witt reached on an error in the seventh.
