Shepherd took a 3-0 lead in the first inning as sophomore designated hitter

Ron Farley (Cockeysville, Md./Calvert Hall/Delaware State) added an RBI-double.
The Rams added three more runs in the third on an RBI-single from Heleine and a two-run single by sophomore third baseman

Glenville State got on the board in the seventh as Zach Sanford was hit-by-pitch and scored on a triple by Logan Henderson.
The Rams added a run in the eighth on an RBI-single by Heleine and another in the ninth on an RBI-single by senior second baseman

Heleine went 4-for-5 with four RBIs and a run scored to lead a 13-hit attack for the Rams. Junior first baseman

AJ Stead (Culpeper, Va./Eastern View) (9.0 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 7 Ks, 2 BB) (7-1) picked up the complete win for the Rams. Chris Longdo (7.0 IP, 6 R, 4 ER, 2 Ks, 6 BB) (2-4) took the loss for the Pioneers.
The Rams return to action on Saturday at 11 a.m. when they face the winner of tonight's West Virginia State-Notre Dame game.
