Box Score WEST LAWN, Pa. – Shepherd University (39-14) handed East Stroudsburg (38-18) a 3-1 setback in action at the NCAA II Atlantic Regional Baseball Tournament on Sunday at Owls Park at Ted Palka Field.
Shepherd took a 1-0 lead in the third inning as junior second baseman
Brandon Kirk (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West/Mercer CC) led off with a single and later scored on a wild pitch.
East Stroudsburg tied the game in the fourth as Drew Hercik singled and scored on a double off the bat on Connor Crookham.
The Rams took a 2-1 advantage when junior outfielder
Jacob Carney (Stephens City, Va./Sherando) walked and later scored when junior outfielder
Ron Farley (Cockeysville, Md./Calvert Hall/Delaware State) reached on an error.
The Rams added an insurance run in the sixth. Freshman catcher
Christian Hamel (Pasadena, Md./IMG Academy) singled and later scored on a double by Carney.
Carney went 2-for-4 to pace the Rams.
Crookham went 2-for-4 for the Warriors.

Jamie Driver (Broad Run, Va./Kettle Run) set the Warriors down in order in the final inning to pick up his third save of the season. Billy Sablinski (2.1 IP, 1 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 K, 4 BB) (0-1) took the loss for East Stroudsburg.
The Rams take on Mercyhurst (42-13) at 7 p.m. in a later contest with the winner advancing to the championship round.
