Box Score 2 URBANA, Ohio – Shepherd University (5-8) fell in a pair of matches in volleyball action at the Urbana University Tournament on Saturday. The Rams dropped a 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 27-25) decision to Urbana in an early match against and later dropped a 3-2 (18-25, 25-15, 21-25, 25-22, 15-12) match against Kutztown.
Freshman outside hitters
Peyton Lindblad (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) and
Jaila Bell (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) each had eight kills, while sophomore middle blocker/right side
Sophie Foster (Martinsburg, W.Va./Martinsburg) added six to lead the Rams against the Blue Knights.

Becca Kern (Martinsburg, W.Va./Musselman) had 23 assists and junior libero
Kelsey Anderson (Leesburg, W.Va./Loudoun County) posted team-high nine digs.
Mikaela Beck had 13 kills and Katlynn Dunlap added 11 to lead Urbana (5-7).
Bell had a career and match-high 24 kills and added a team-high 17 digs against Kutztown. Junior middle hitter
Christine Jackson (Stafford, Va./North Stafford) contributed 11 kills and Lindblad added 10.
Kern had 34 assists and four aces, while Anderson added 14 digs.
Jessica Howe had 13 kills and Taylor Brown added 12 to lead Kutztown (3-8).
The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to Glenville State for a 7 p.m. contest.
