Box Score BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – West Virginia Wesleyan (6-0-2, 5-0-2 MEC) posted a 2-0 win over Shepherd University (3-3-1, 2-3-1 MEC) in MEC women's soccer action at West Virginia Wesleyan on Sunday afternoon.

Shannon Shawgo scored on a feed from Emily Knight at the 6:14 mark to give the Bobcats a 1-0 lead at the break.

Knight added an unassisted goal at the 77:40 mark to help secure the win.

Sophomore goalkeeper Kelsey Rhoderick (Frederick, Md./Governor Thomas Johnson) recorded eight saves for the Rams. Chelsea Hubner had a shutout effort in goal for the Bobcats without recording a save.

West Virginia Wesleyan had a 17-2 advantage in shots and a 7-4 edge in corner kicks.

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Urbana for a noon contest.
