Box Score 2 LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Shepherd University dropped a pair of matches in final day action of the Lock Haven Tournament on Saturday. The Rams dropped a 3-0 (25-12, 25-19, 25-13) to California (Pa.) (2-2) in an early match and came up short in a 3-1 (25-21, 25-17, 25-19, 25-19) loss to Ashland (4-0) in a later match.
Freshman outside hitter
Peyton Lindblad (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) had six kills and freshman outside hitter
Cambriea Hill (Columbia, Md./Hammond) added five to lead the Rams against California (Pa.).
Junior libero
Kelsey Anderson (Leesburg, W.Va./Loudoun County) recorded a team-high eight digs and freshman outside hitter
Jaila Bell (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) added seven.
Danielle Hayes had 13 kills and nine digs to lead the Vulcans.
Lindblad recorded 11 kills, while sophomore middle blocker/right side
Sophie Foster (Martinsburg, W.Va./Martinsburg) and Bell each added seven kills to lead Shepherd against Ashland.
Sophomore setter
Becca Kern (Martinsburg, W.Va./Musselman) added 13 assists and nine digs.
Alli Cudworth had 22 kills and Jordan Mackay added 15 to lead Ashland.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to Shippensburg for a 10 a.m. match against Philadelphia University and a 5:30 p.m. match against Virginia State at the Shippensburg University Tournament.
