Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Notre Dame College handed Shepherd University a 2-0 setback in MEC women's soccer action at Shepherd on Tuesday afternoon.
The Falcons took a 1-0 lead at the 16:39 mark when Noelle Jester scored on a feed from Jessica Sobotka.
Notre Dame added a goal minutes later when Riley Doyle recorded an unassisted tally.
Sophomores
Christi LaBella (Ijamsville, Md./Oakdale) (3) and
Kelsey Rhoderick (Frederick, Md./Governor Thomas Johnson) (2) combined for five saves in goal for the Rams. Sam Shoemaker had a pair of saves for the Falcons.
Notre Dame had an 18-5 shots advantage and a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to Wheeling Jesuit for an 8 p.m. matchup.
