CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Shepherd University (15-5, 4-3 MEC) dropped a 3-1 (20-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-17) decision to Charleston (10-9, 6-1 MEC)  in MEC volleyball action at Charleston.

Senior outside hitter Amanda Snowden (Hagerstown, Md./Smithsburg) had 19 kills, while sophomore outside hitter Cambriea Hill (Columbia, Md./Hammond)had 13 kills and 10 digs. Sophomore outside hitter Peyton Lindblad (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) had 11 kills and 15 digs. Hill added 10 digs.

Sophomore setter Jessica Karcz (Westminster, Md./Westminster) recorded 38 assists and 19 digs, while sophomore libero Imani Major (Gainesville, Va./Millbrook) also posted 19 digs.

Carly Granger had 14 kills and Jessica Sunnenberg added 11 to lead the Golden Eagles. Kelsey Matusic added a match-high 23 digs.

The Rams return to action on Friday when they host Concord for a 7 p.m. match.
