Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Harry Tamplin scored on a penalty kick at the 95:48 mark to lift Urbana (8-5-0, 6-3-0 MEC) to a 2-1 overtime win over Shepherd University (0-13-1, 0-8-0 MEC) in men's soccer action at Shepherd on Sunday.
Shepherd took a 1-0 lead into the break when senior forward Jeff Kammerer (Woodstock, Md./Marriotts Ridge) scored on an assist by junior midfielder Justin Daniels (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown) at the 24:04 mark.
Urbana forced the extra session when Jacob Wischmeier scored on assists from Nicholas Glasgow and Matt Wheeler at the 81:35 mark.
Senior goalkeeper Jacob Clements (Frederick Md./Tuscarora/Frederick CC) recorded 13 saves for the Rams, while Daniel McNicholas posted a pair of saves in goal for the Blue Knights.
Urbana had a 33-4 advantage in shots and a 17-3 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Notre Dame for a noon contest.
