Box Score SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Shepherd University (4-5-5, 4-4-5 MEC) dropped a 4-0 decision to Notre Dame (10-3-2, 10-2-2 MEC) in MEC women's soccer action at Notre Dame on Wednesday afternoon.
Notre Dame took a 1-0 lead when Norah Barnes scored on a pass from Janelle Bernal at the 11:08 mark.
Alexis Manoa added a goal at the 17:29 mark on an assist from Jackie Corrigan to give the Falcons a 2-0 lead at the break.
The Falcons added a pair of goals in the second half on an unassisted tally by Manoa and an own goal.
Junior netminder Christi LaBella (Ijamsville, Md./Oakdale) recorded four saves for the Rams. Kyra McDowell had a pair of saves for the Falcons.
Notre Dame had an 11-3 advantage in shots while corner kicks were even at two apiece.
The Rams return to action on Sunday when they host Wheeling Jesuit for Senior Day at 3:30 p.m.
