Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Senior forward Samantha Leonard (Conowingo, Md./Perryville/Wingate) scored on a pass from sophomore midfielder Brooke Harwood (Capon Bridge, W.Va./Hampshire) at the 74:45 mark to help Shepherd University (4-5-6, 4-4-6 MEC) battle to a 1-1 tie with Wheeling Jesuit (4-11-1, 3-10-1 MEC) in MEC women's soccer action at Shepherd on Senior Day on Sunday.
Wheeling Jesuit took a 1-0 lead at the 41:55 mark when Natalie Idermuhle scored off a corner kick by Micah Miller at the 41:55 mark.
Senior netminder Christi LaBella (Ijamsville, Md./Oakdale) recorded five saves for the Rams. Hannah Thompson had five saves for the Cardinals.
Shepherd had a 19-12 advantage in shots, while corner kicks were even at four each.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Concord for a 1 p.m. match.
