Box Score WHEELING, W.Va. – Matt Vogt scored a pair of goals to lead Wheeling Jesuit (3-6-1, 1-5-0 MEC) to a 5-0 win over Shepherd University (0-9-1, 0-5-0 MEC) in MEC men's soccer action at Wheeling Jesuit on Tuesday.
The Cardinals took a 2-0 lead into the break behind first-half goals from Owain Hawkins and Micah Tabete.
Vogt scored back-to-back goals in the second half and Carlos Molina added the final tally.
Senior goalkeeper Jacob Clements (Frederick Md./Tuscarora/Frederick CC) posted 11 saves for the Rams, while Tyler Shotwell recorded five saves for the Cardinals.
Wheeling Jesuit had an 18-8 advantage in shots and a 4-1 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to West Virginia Wesleyan for a 4:30 p.m. match
