Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Daemen College handed Shepherd University a 1-0 setback in non-conference women's soccer action at Shepherd on Monday afternoon.
Lindsay Ciarmella scored on a pass from Celia de Pablo Esteban at the 71:14 mark to lift the Wildcats to the win.
Senior netminder Christi LaBella (Ijamsville, Md./Oakdale) (2) and freshman goalkeeper Skylar Wheeler (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key) (2) combined for four saves for Shepherd (5-6-7). Maddie Flores had a pair of saves for the Wildcats.
Daemen (9-7-1) had a 16-3 advantage in shots and an 8-2 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Thursday when they travel to top-seeded West Virginia Wesleyan for a 2 p.m. match in MEC Tournament semifinal action.
