Box Score MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Lauren Lister scored a game-high 21 points to lead Millersville (2-3) to a 78-60 win over Shepherd University (4-2) in non-conference women's basketball action at Millersville on Monday night.
Senior guard Morgan Arden (Hanover, Pa./Spring Grove) led the Rams with 18 points. Arden hit on 8-of-24 field goals with a 1-of-4 effort from three-point range. She was 1-of-1 from the foul line. She added a game-high eight assists. Arden (307) went over 300 assists for her career.
Junior forward Liz Moormann (New Market, Md./Oakdale) added 11 points and tied junior guard Kari Lankford (York, Pa./West York Area) for team-high rebounding honors with six boards. Lankford added four points, three assists, and three steals. Junior guard Kayla Tibbs (Leesburg, Va./Heritage/Glenville State) tossed in nine points.
Millersville had five players in double figures as Farquhar had 15 points, Janelle Robinson had 12, Alayah Hall added 11, and Courtney Dimoff contributed 10. Hall, Dimoff, and Kendra Bamberger each grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.
Millersville outscored Shepherd, 29-to-6, in the second period to take a 48-25 lead at the break. Farquhar (12) and Lister (10) combined for 22 first-half points for the Marauders.
Shepherd shot 38.7 percent (24-64) from the floor with a 26.7 percent effort (4-15) from three-point range for the game. The Rams shot 47.1 percent (8-17) from the charity stripe.
Millersville hit on 43.3 percent (29-67) from the floor with a 22.7 percent (5-22) performance from beyond the arc. The Marauders connected on 62.5 percent (15-24) of their free throws.
Millersville had a 50-32 advantage in rebounds. Shepherd forced 17 turnovers and committed 14.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to West Virginia Wesleyan for a 5:30 p.m. contest.
