Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University recorded a 3-2 (21-25, 25-22, 25-14, 24-26, 15-9) win over Urbana in MEC volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Friday night.
Sophomore outside hitter Peyton Lindblad (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) had 18 kills and sophomore outside hitter Cambriea Hill (Columbia, Md./Hammond)added 16 kills and 11 digs to lead the Rams (19-6, 8-4 MEC).
Senior outside hitter Amanda Snowden (Hagerstown, Md./Smithsburg) posted 13 kills, while sophomore libero Imani Major (Gainesville, Va./Millbrook) recorded a match-high 20 digs. Sophomore setter Jessica Karcz (Westminster, Md./Westminster) recorded 52 assists and nine digs. Freshman libero Milleysha Molina-Otero (Fairfax, Va./Chantilly) had 11 digs, while junior setter Becca Kern (Martinsburg, W.Va./Musselman) recorded three aces.
Alees Butler had 12 kills, while Katlynn Dunlap had eight kills and 15 digs for the Blue Knights (16-14, 8-4 MEC). Courtney Niesen and Maia Dunlap each contributed 13 digs.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Notre Dame at 4 p.m. for Senior Day.
