Skyler Roman (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) added 18 to lead Shepherd University (15-9, 12-6 MEC) to a 102-82 win over Urbana (10-14, 5-13 MEC) in MEC men's basketball action at the Butcher Center on Saturday.

AJ Carr (Fairfax, Va./St. James School) added 15 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists. Senior guard Niam Muhammad (Waldorf, Md./North Point) contributed 15 points and a game-high nine assists, while sophomore forward
Winston Burgess (Stafford, Va./Colonial Forge) had 11 points and six boards.
Jahmere Howze had a game-high 31 points for the Blue Knights. Carlas Jackson added 24 points, while DeQuan Abrom tossed in 15.
Shepherd used a 65.5 percent (19-29) first half field goal percentage to move out to 50-34 advantage at halftime.
Shepherd connected on 59 percent (23-60) from the floor with a 33.3 percent (8-24) performance from beyond the arc for the game. The Rams hit on 78.6 percent (22-28) of their free throws.
Urbana shot 43.3 percent (29-67) from the floor with a 25.8 percent effort (8-31) from three-point range.
The Blue Knights shot 84.2 percent (16-19) from the charity stripe.
Shepherd had a 38-34 edge in rebounding. The Rams forced 19 turnovers and committed 12.
The Rams return to action on Thursday when they travel to Charleston for a 7:30 p.m. game.
