Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Senior forward Liz Myers (York, Pa./Eastern York) had 18 points and 12 rebounds, while senior guard Cara Mason (Monrovia, Md./Urbana) added 17 points and 10 assists to lead Shepherd University (11-15, 8-10 MEC) to an 88-70 win over Urbana (5-16, 3-15 MEC) in MEC women's basketball action at the Butcher Center on Saturday.

Shepherd had five players in double figures as junior guard Morgan Arden (Hanover, Pa./Spring Grove) added 15 points, junior guard Tiffany McKinney (Edgewater, Md./South River/Anne Arundel CC) had 12, while sophomore guard Kari Lankford (York, Pa./West York Area) tossed in 10.

Stefanie Davis led the Blue Knights with 23 points. Sylvia Hudson had 21 points and 18 rebounds, and Morgan Mattimore added 10 points.

Shepherd outscored Urbana, 26-12, in the first period en route to a 49-33 lead at halftime.

The Rams had a 27-16 edge in points scored off turnovers and a 16-8 advantage in points off the bench.

Shepherd shot 43.2 percent (32-74) from the floor with a 37.5 percent effort (6-16) from three-point range for the game. The Rams shot 94.7 percent (18-19) from the charity stripe.

Notre Dame hit on 41.7 percent (25-60) from the floor with a 16.7 percent (2-12) performance from beyond the arc. The Blue Knights connected on 85.7 percent (18-21) of their free throws.

Notre Dame had a 42-39 edge in rebounding. Shepherd forced 24 turnovers and committed 15.

The Rams return to action on Thursday when they travel to Charleston for a 5:30 p.m. game.
