WINCHESTER, Va. – Shepherd University (3-1) handed host Shenandoah University (0-1) a 9-0 setback in men's tennis action at Winchester Country Club on Saturday night.

Sophomore Shane Dempsey (Charleston, W.Va./Nitro) posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at number three singles and teamed with senior Lewis Charette (Atlanta, Ga./Pike County) for an 8-3 win at number two doubles to lead the Rams.

The Rams return to action on Feb. 19 when they travel to the Greenbrier Resort to face Bluefield State College at 1 p.m.
