Indianapolis Handles Shepherd Women’s Lacrosse

Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Chalane Morrison scored eight goals and Anna Rulapaugh added five to lead University of Indianapolis (5-1) to 20-8 win over Shepherd (0-4) in women's lacrosse action at Ram Stadium on Friday afternoon.

Senior attacker Brooke Hunley (Monrovia, Md./Linganore) scored three goals and an assist to pace the Rams. Senior midfielder Haley Price (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) added a pair of goals, while junior midfielder Sarah Wendt (Ellicott City, Md./Howard), junior midfielder Courtney Matthews (Monrovia, Md./Urbana), and freshman attacker Lillian Funke (Hagerstown, Md./Boonsboro) each tallied a goal. Matthews and Funke also added single assists.

Grace Gunneson and Laura McKee each added a pair of goals for the Greyhounds.

Indy had a 13-5 lead at halftime as Morrison tallied all her goals in the first half.

Indianpolis had a 21-11 edge in ground balls, while Shepherd had a 16-13 advantage in draw controls.

Shepherd was 9-of-13 in clears, while Indianapolis was 17-of-17. The Greyhounds had a 34-13 advantage in shots.

Junior goalkeeper Casey Hickman (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) recorded seven saves for the Rams, while Lauren Granville had a pair of saves for the Greyhounds.

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Edinboro at 1 p.m.
