CROFTON, Md. – The Shepherd University men's golf team fired a three-round total of 928 to place sixth in in a 10-team field at the Coaches Invitational Classic at the Crofton Country Club. California (Pa.) took the team title with a total of 891, while Cal's Tyler Robinson took medalist honors with a 220.

Shepherd was led by senior Joey Burkinshaw (Germantown, Md./Northwest) who fired a three-round total of 226 to tie for sixth place. He was followed by senior Ryan Crabtree (Willliamsport, Md./Williamsport) (229, 12th), freshman Trey Euler (Hedgesville, W.Va./Hedgesville) (236, 24th), junior Brandon Dang (Berryville, Va./Clarke County) (237, T-25th), and senior Erik Williams (Frederick, Md./Middletown) (256, 48th).

The Rams return to action on April 2-3 when they compete at the West Liberty Oglebay Resort Intercollegiate.
