SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (9-6, 3-1 MEC) recorded an 8-1 win over West Virginia State (1-12, 1-4 MEC) in MEC men's tennis action at Shepherd on Tuesday.

Senior Grant Davis (Harpers Ferry, W.Va./Martinsburg) and senior Lewis Charette (Atlanta, Ga./Pike County) each recorded 6-0, 6-0 victories in singles play to lead the Rams.

The Rams return to action on Friday when they host West Liberty for a 3:30 p.m. match.
