Shepherd Women’s Lacrosse Cruises Past Felician; Price Reaches 100-Goal Mark

Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Senior midfielder Haley Price (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) scored five goals and freshman attacker Lillian Funke (Hagerstown, Md./Boonsboro) added four goals and three assists to lead Shepherd (3-9) to a 20-3 win over Felician University (0-9) in women's lacrosse action at Ram Stadium on Friday afternoon.

Price reached the100-goal mark for her career with her second goal of the contest with 23:50 left in the first half on a feed from junior midfielder Sarah Wendt (Ellicott City, Md./Howard). Price (103 career goals) currently ranks seventh on the Shepherd all-time list. Her 123 career points rank her eighth.

Funke established career highs with her four goals, three assists, and seven points.

Senior attacker Kiana Miller (Hagerstown, Md./Boonsboro) and junior midfielder Courtney Matthews (Monrovia, Md./Urbana) each tallied three goals, while freshman attacker/midfielder Emily Brown (Virginia Beach, Va./First Colonial) scored a pair of goals.

Senior attacker Brooke Hunley (Monrovia, Md./Linganore) added a goal and three assists, while Wendt had a goal and an assist. Freshman midfielder Elishia Davis (Charleston, W.Va./George Washington) also scored a goal.

Senior attacker Alex Green (Boonsboro, Md./Boonsboro) posted three assists, while senior midfielder Courtney Schwiegerath (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) added a pair.

Andrea Hill scored two goals and Liana Chirichiello added another for the Golden Falcons.

Shepherd had a 13-1 lead at halftime as Price and Funke each recorded three first half goals .

Shepherd had a 28-14 advantage in ground balls and a 20-5 edge in draw controls. Shepherd was 14-of-15 in clears, while Felician was 7-of-19. The Rams had a 44-8 advantage in shots.

Junior goalkeeper Casey Hickman (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) did not record a save for the Rams, while Megan Euler had 15 saves for the Golden Falcons.

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Notre Dame College for an 11 a.m. contest.
