Shepherd Tennis Sweeps Millersville

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University swept Millersville in men's and women's tennis action at Shepherd on Sunday. The Shepherd men (8-6) recorded a 9-0 win, while the women (7-11) posted a 5-4 triumph.

Senior Grant Davis (Harpers Ferry, W.Va./Martinsburg) and junior Austin Thomas (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) each recorded 6-0, 6-0 singles wins to pace the Shepherd men.

Sophomore Zoie O'Neal (Hagerstown, Md./Clear Spring) posted a 7-6, 6-2 win at number three singles and teamed with sophomore Alisha Adkins (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) for an 8-2 win at number two doubles to lead the women.

The Rams return to action on Friday when they host West Liberty for a 3:30 p.m. match. The women return to action on Monday when they host Kutztown for a 3:30 p.m. match.
