Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Senior midfielder Haley Price (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) scored a career and game-high seven goals and added an assist to lead Shepherd (2-9, 1-0 MEC) to a 12-7 win over University of Charleston (3-9, 0-2 MEC) in MEC women's lacrosse action at Ram Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Senior attacker Alex Green (Boonsboro, Md./Boonsboro) and junior midfielder Courtney Matthews (Monrovia, Md./Urbana) each added a goal and two assists for the Rams.

Senior attacker Brooke Hunley (Monrovia, Md./Linganore), senior midfielder Courtney Schwiegerath (Frederick, Md./Oakdale), and freshman attacker Lillian Funke (Hagerstown, Md./Boonsboro) each tallied a goal and an assist.

Shawna Kleinfelter had three goals and Samantha Jones added two for the Golden Eagles.

Shepherd had a 7-2 lead at halftime behind three first half goals by Price.

Charleston had a 17-16 advantage in ground balls, while Shepherd had a 14-7 edge in draw controls. Shepherd was 12-of-15 in clears, while Charleston was 13-of-17. The Rams had a 32-17 advantage in shots.

Junior goalkeeper Casey Hickman (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) recorded six saves for the Rams, while Rachel Cokeley had seven saves for the Golden Eagles.

The Rams return to action on Friday when they host Felician for a 1 p.m. contest.
