Box Score WHEELING, W.Va. – Paige Plesich scored four goals and Lyndsay Carpenter added three to lead Wheeling Jesuit (10-7) to a 14-8 win over Shepherd (6-12) in the finals of the MEC Women's Lacrosse Tournament on Sunday at Wheeling Jesuit.

Haley Price (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) added two to lead the Rams.

Brooke Hunley (Monrovia, Md./Linganore), junior midfielder
Courtney Matthews (Monrovia, Md./Urbana), and freshman attacker
Lillian Funke (Hagerstown, Md./Boonsboro) each added single tallies. Funke added an assist.
Elizabeth Hales added two goals for the Cardinals.
The Cardinals had a 9-5 lead at halftime behind three first half goals from Plesich and two from Carpenter.
Wheeling Jesuit had a 24-20 advantage in ground balls and a 15-9 edge in draw controls. Shepherd was 15-of-19 in clears, while Wheeling Jesuit was 15-of-17. Wheeling Jesuit had a 35-24 advantage in shots.
Junior goalkeeper
Casey Hickman (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) had 16 saves for the Rams, while Maire Austin recorded nine saves for the Cardinals.
