Box Score URBANA, Ohio – Benjamin Cancian and Antoine Ravera each scored a pair of goals to lead Urbana (2-2-0, 1-1-0 MEC) to a 4-1 win over Shepherd University (0-4-1, 0-2-0 MEC) in MEC men's soccer action at Urbana on Thursday afternoon.
Cancian scored on assists from Thibaut Bourrier and Jermey Fricker at the 4:33 mark to give Urbana a 1-0 lead.
Senior forward Jeff Kammerer (Woodstock, Md./Marriotts Ridge) found the back of the net on a feed from freshman goalkeeper Jacob Dougal (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) for the Rams at the 20:48 mark to tie the game at 1-1.
Cancian added a goal at the 22:28 mark and Ravera scored at the 23:51 mark to give the Blue Knights a 3-1 lead at the break.
Ravera added a second half tally to complete the scoring.
Dougal recorded seven saves for the Rams, including five in the second half. Daniel McNicholas (1) and Michael Yoder (0) combined to post a save for the Blue Knights.
Urbana had an 18-6 advantage in shots and a 12-0 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Sunday when they host the University of Charleston for a 1 p.m. contest for RAACE Day.
