KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Shepherd University (9-2) swept a pair of matches in volleyball action on Saturday at the Kutztown Classic. The Rams earned a 3-2 (23-25, 25-16, 18-25, 25-18, 15-11) win over West Chester in an early match, and rallied from two sets down to post a 3-2 (20-25, 25-27, 25-21, 25-23, 15-11) win over Caldwell University in a later contest.

Senior outside hitter Amanda Snowden (Hagerstown, Md./Smithsburg) had 14 kills and sophomore outside hitter Cambriea Hill (Columbia, Md./Hammond) added 12 kills and 18 digs in the win over West Chester (9-1).

Sophomore setter Jessica Karcz (Westminster, Md./Westminster) contributed 18 assists and 16 digs, while sophomore libero Imani Major (Gainesville, Va./Millbrook) had 15 digs.

Kaleigh Lutz had 17 kills and Abbie Dischert added 15 for the Golden Rams.

Sophomore middle hitter Seone Goode (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend)  had 14 kills and 19 digs to lead Shepherd against Caldwell (5-2). Snowden and Hill each had 13 kills and Hill also posted 20 digs.

Karcz added 41 assists and 15 digs, while Major recorded 18 digs.

Katrina Janssen had 24 kills and Taryn Auyong added 14 kills and 17 digs to lead Caldwell.

The Rams return to action on Friday when they host Wheeling Jesuit for a 6 p.m. match.
