SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Senior defender Bri Gorman (Clarksburg, Md./Urbana) scored on a corner kick at the 89:33 mark to help Shepherd (2-2-3, 2-1-3 MEC) battle to a 1-1 tie with Fairmont State (2-4-1, 1-4-1 MEC) in MEC women's soccer action at Shepherd on Sunday.

After a scoreless first half, Cameryn Ciresi gave Fairmont State a 1-0 lead at the 53:29 mark with an unassisted tally.

Junior netminder Christi LaBella (Ijamsville, Md./Oakdale) recorded six saves for the Rams.  Shawna Graham had 12 saves for the Fighting Falcons.

Shepherd had a 25-12 advantage in shots and a 6-2 edge in corner kicks.

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Concord at noon.
