Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Yacouba Traore scored a goal and assisted on another to lead Concord (1-7-1, 1-4-0 MEC) to a 4-1 win over Shepherd University (0-8-1, 0-4-0 MEC) in MEC men's soccer action at Shepherd on Wednesday.
The Mountain Lions took a 3-0 advantage into the break behind first-half goals from Alex Rhodes, Maxime Ramioulle and Traore.
Mahamadou Coulibaly scored on an assist from Pedro Bassin at the 71:32 mark to give Concord a 4-0 lead.
Junior forward Alejandro Oliart (Germantown, Md./Northwest/Hagerstown CC) scored on a feed from senior midfielder Luis Prado (Barquisimeto, Venezuela/Montgomery College) for the Rams at the 84:52 mark.
Senior goalkeeper Jacob Clements (Frederick Md./Tuscarora/Frederick CC) posted four saves for the Rams, while Kyle Brown (2) and Michael Adedigba (5) combined for seven saves for the Mountain Lions.
Shepherd had a 19-15 advantage in shots and a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Notre Dame College for a 1 p.m. match.
