SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. –  Mats Jota scored a goal and assisted on another to lead Notre Dame (6-3-0, 4-2-0 MEC) to a 3-1 win over Shepherd University (0-9-1, 0-5-0 MEC) in MEC men's soccer action at Shepherd on Saturday.

Sam Morgan scored on a feed from Jota at the 28:43 mark to give the Falcons a 1-0 lead at the break.

Jota scored on a a pass from Lewis Norvock at the 47:25 mark to up the lead to 2-1.

Junior midfielder Justin Daniels (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown) found the back of the net for the Rams on a pass from senior forward/midfielder Justin Marshall (Adamstown, Md./Tuscarora) at the 71:10 mark.

Notre Dame added a goal when Leonard Paivo scored on a feed from Norvock at the 84:00 mark.

Senior goalkeeper Jacob Clements (Frederick Md./Tuscarora/Frederick CC) posted four saves for the Rams, while Daniele DeAngelis did not record a save in goal for the Falcons..

Notre Dame had an 17-2 advantage in shots and a 6-2 edge in corner kicks.

The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Wheeling Jesuit for a 5:30 p.m. contest.
