Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Emily Tomei scored as time expired in the second overtime session to lift Roberts Wesleyan (1-1) to a 13-12 win over Shepherd (0-1) in women's lacrosse action at Ram Stadium on Saturday.
Johannah Price and Alyssa Maxwell each had four goals to pace the Redhawks.
Senior midfielder Sarah Wendt (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) scored four goals and sophomore attacker Lillian Funke (Hagerstown, Md./Boonsboro) added three to lead the Rams.
Sophomore midfielder Elishia Davis (Charleston, W.Va./George Washington) and freshman attacker Regan Brown (Resiterstown, Md./Manchester Valley) each had a pair of goals, while sophomore attacker Jordan Sauro (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll/Shippensburg) scored a goal for the Rams. Funke and Sauro each added an assist.
Shepherd had a 7-5 lead at halftime behind three first half goals from Wendt.
After Roberts Wesleyan took its first lead of the game at 10-9 on a goal by Maxwell with 7:42 left in the second half, Shepherd scored three unanswered goals to take a 12-10 lead after Suaro scored an unassisted tally with 3:21 left.

The Redhawks got a goal from Megan Burnham off a feed from Jessica Giancursio at the 3:06 mark and Maxwell scored a free position goal with two seconds left in regulation to force overtime.
Shepherd had a 31-26 advantage in ground balls and a 15-14 edge in draw controls. Shepherd was 22-of-30 in clears, while Roberts Wesleyan was 22-of-25. Shepherd had a 35-30 advantage in shots.
Junior goalkeeper Casey Hickman (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) had 12 saves for the Rams, while Victoria Greco recorded 15 saves for the Redhawks.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they host Shippensburg for a 4 p.m. contest.
