HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Shepherd University tennis teams dropped a pair of matches to Quincy in tennis action at Hilton Head on Thursday. The Shepherd men (5-5) dropped a 6-3 decision, while the women (3-9) came up short on an 8-1 decision.

Sophomore Carter Davis (Harpers Ferry, W.Va./Martinsburg) posted a 6-1, 6-2 win at number one singles and teamed with freshman Evan Dokken (Winchester, Va./James Wood) for an 8-2 win at number one doubles to lead the men. Austin Thomas (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) added a 6-2, 6-4 win at number six singles.

Junior Alishia Adkins (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) recorded a 6-1, 7-5 win at number two singles to pace the women.
