WHEELING, W.Va. – Shepherd University (9-4, 0-1 MEC) dropped a 25-14, 25-16, 23-25, 25-18 decision to 19th-ranked Wheeling Jesuit (10-3, 1-0 MEC) in MEC volleyball action at Wheeling Jesuit on Friday night.
Junior outside hitter Peyton Lindblad (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) led the Rams with 27 kills and a .365 attack percentage.
Junior outside hitter Cambriea Hill (Columbia, Md./Hammond, freshman middle hitter Georgia Ohmke (Falls Church, Va./Justice), and freshman outside hitter Alex Farnsworth (Las Vegas, Nev./Liberty) each added six kills. Hill added 15 digs, while Farnsworth contributed 12.
Senior setter Becca Kern (Martinsburg, W.Va./Musselman) recorded 48 assists. Junior libero Imani Major (Gainesville, Va./Millbrook) topped the Rams with a match-high 22 digs.
Cassie Myers had 17 kills and Breanna Kramer added 15 to pace the Cardinals. Audrey Fancis added 20 digs.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to West Liberty for a 1 p.m. match.
