ETTRICK, Va. – Shepherd University (6-2) handed Virginia State (6-3) a 3-0 setback in volleyball action at Virginia State on Tuesday evening. The Rams posted a 25-13, 25-20, 25-12 victory.

Sophomore middle hitter Nicole Murray (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) had six kills, while junior outside hitter Seone Goode (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) and junior outside hitter Cambriea Hill (Columbia, Md./Hammond) each added five to pace the Rams.

Senior setter Becca Kern (Martinsburg, W.Va./Musselman) recorded 20 assists, seven digs, and five aces. Junior libero Imani Major (Gainesville, Va./Millbrook) topped the Rams with nine digs.

Myia Jones had five kills to pace the Trojans. Jasmine Jones added seven digs, while Bria Anderson had nine assists.
