BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- Junior guard Thomas Lang (New Market, Md./Linganore) of the Shepherd University men's basketball team has been named MEC Player of the Week as announced by the league office today.

Lang averaged 28.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals in a 2-0 week for the Rams. After scoring 21 points and grabbing nine rebounds in a win over Concord, he hit on 13-of-17 from the field, including 9-of-13 from deep for 36 points against UVa-Wise. Lang also provided the game-winner against the Cavs hitting a pull-up jumper in the paint to give the Rams the 80-79 win.
