SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd University (1-2) handed California (Pa.) (0-4) a 5-2 setback in women's tennis action at Shepherd on Saturday.

The Rams got singles wins from freshmen Isabella Mascari (Morgantown, W.Va./Morgantown),  Ally Frushour (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown), Morgan Burner (Winchester, Va./James Wood), and Anna Ours (Shepherdstown, W.Va./Jefferson).

Mascari and Frushour teamed for a win at number two doubles and Burner and freshman KC McManus (Falling Waters, W.Va./Spring Mills) earned a win at number three doubles.

The Rams return to action on Sunday when they host Slippery Rock at 10 a.m.
