LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Shepherd University women's basketball team has been picked to finish eighth in the 2019-20 PSAC East Coaches' Poll. Kutztown was chosen as the favorite with seven first place votes.
Bloomsburg placed second with two first-place votes, followed by Shippensburg rounding out the top three. West Chester and Millersville finished tied for fourth place and East Stroudsburg placed sixth, followed by Lock Haven and Shepherd.
Shepherd posted an 11-18 overall mark with a 8-14 conference record last season. The Rams will be led by junior forward
Sydney Clayton, who gained second team All-MEC honors last season. She averaged 17.1 points and 7.5 rebounds in 2018-19
The Rams open the 2019-20 season on Nov. 8 when they host Fayetteville State at 3 p.m. at the Butcher Center in opening round action of the Conference Challenge.
