SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Marah Foltz scored on a feed from Taylor Moritz at the 72:41 mark to lift Lock Haven (3-9-2, 3-9-1 PSAC East) to a 2-1 win over Shepherd University (1-13-2, 1-12-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Shepherd on Wednesday afternoon.
Shepherd took a 1-0 lead when junior midfielder Emma Bernardoni (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) scored on a free kick at the 30:08 mark. Bernardoni's goal was her second of the season.
Lock Haven tied the game when Haleigh Swann scored on a pass from Moritz at the 40:22 mark.
Sophomore goalkeepers Byers (Clear Spring, Md./Clear Spring) (3 saves, 1 GA, 45:00) and Lulu Fricks (Alexandria, Va./Hayfield) (7 saves, 1 GA, 45:00) combined to post 10 saves for the Rams. Karly Trillhaase recorded three saves for the Bald Eagles.
Lock Haven had a 16-6 advantage in shots and a 5-1 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Millersville a 5:30 p.m. match.
