UDC Tops Shepherd Tennis Teams

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd University dropped a pair of matches to UDC in tennis action at Shepherd on Friday. The men dropped a 7-0 decision, while the women had a 6-1 setback.

Senior Carter Davis (Harpers Ferry, W.Va./Martinsburg) gained a 6-2, 6-2 win at number one singles and freshman Tanner Jones (Stephens City, Va./Millbrook) posted a 6-1, 6-4 win at number five singles.

Sophomore Claire Dean (Church Hill, Md./Queen Anne's County) earned a default win at number six singles for the women.

The teams return to action on Saturday at the PSAC Championships at Bloomsburg University.
