Shepherd Women’s Soccer Falls at #23 East Stroudsburg

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. –  Monica Wood and Amy Strauser each scored goals to lead 23rd-ranked  East Stroudsburg (12-5-0, 11-4-0 PSAC East) to a 2-0 win over Shepherd University (1-15-2, 1-14-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at East Stroudsburg on Saturday.

Stauser scored an unassisted goal at the 8:37 mark to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead at the half.

Wood scored on a feed from Jessica Woodbyrne at the 62:24 mark to add an insurance goal.

Sophomore goalkeeper Lulu Fricks (Alexandria, Va./Hayfield)  recorded eight saves for the Rams. Mauri Jackson recorded two saves for the Warriors.

East Stroudsburg had a 23-6 advantage in shots and a 9-0 edge in corner kicks.
