HILTON HEAD, S.C. --  The Shepherd University tennis teams dropped a pair of matches at Hilton Head on Monday. The Shepherd men (0-2) dropped a 6-3 decision to Catholic (1-4), while Catholic (3-3) posted an 8-1 win over the Shepherd women (1-2).

The Shepherd men got singles wins from sophomore Carter Davis (Harpers Ferry, W.Va./Martinsburg), County) (6-2, 6-0) at number one and sophomore Nicholas Ferony (Bowie, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti (7-5, 6-1) at number five. Davis also teamed with sophomore Evan Dokken (Winchester, Va./James Wood) for an 8-3 win at number one doubles.

Senior Anna Bock (Hedgesville, W.Va./Hedgesville) and senior Olivia Scott (Stephens City, Va./Sherando) posted an 8-6 win at number two singles to lead the women.

Both teams return to action on Tuesday when they face Fairleigh Dickinson at Hilton Head.
