WINCHESTER, Va. – Shepherd University an 8-1 win over Shenandoah University in women's tennis action at the Winchester Country Club on Saturday night. Shepherd head coach Matt Rosner was successful in his coaching debut for the Rams.

The Rams swept doubles play. Seniors Alisha Adkins (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) and Zoie O'Neal (Hagerstown, Md./Clear Spring) teamed for an 8-5 win at number one.  Seniors Anna Bock (Hedgesville, W.Va./Hedgesville) and  Olivia Scott (Stephens City, Va./Sherando) recorded an 8-6 win at number two, while sophomore Valentina Preciado-Bello (Shepherdstown, W.Va./Jefferson) and freshman Claire Dean (Church Hill, Md./Queen Anne's County) posted an 8-3 victory at number three.

O'Neal, Bock, Scott, Preciado-Bello, and senior Nicolette Bruley (Centreville, Va./Westfield) each posted singles wins.

The Rams return to action on Sunday when they face East Stroudsburg at Hilton Head.
