WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shepherd University men's tennis team (1-5) picked up its first win of the year with a 6-3 triumph over Shenandoah University (1-6) at the Lowry Tennis Courts on Friday.
The Shepherd men got singles wins from junior Carter Davis (Harpers Ferry, W.Va./Martinsburg), sophomore Evan Dokken (Winchester, Va./James Wood ), junior Kaleb Lochner (Shepherdstown, W.Va./Jefferson), and freshman Ryan Cox (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman).
Davis and Dokken teamed for a win at number one doubles while Lochner and Cox combined for a victory at number two doubles.
The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they travel to West Virginia Wesleyan for a 2 p.m. match.
