WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shepherd University men's tennis team (3-10, 2-4 MEC) recorded a 5-2 win over West Virginia State on Friday night at the Winchester Country Club.
The Rams got singles wins from junior
Carter Davis (Harpers Ferry, W.Va./Martinsburg), sophomore
Evan Dokken (Winchester, Va./James Wood ), sophomore
Nicholas Ferony (Bowie, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti) and freshman
Ryan Cox (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman).
Davis and Dokken teamed for a win at number one doubles, while junior
Kaleb Lochner (Shepherdstown, W.Va./Jefferson) and Cox teamed for a victory at number two doubles.
The Rams return to action on Friday when the host Charleston for a 2 p.m. match.
