URBANA, Ohio – The Shepherd University men's golf team fired a two-round total of 601 to rank in a tie for fifth place in a 13-team field at the MEC Spring Classic Course at the Urbana Country Club in Urbana, Ohio. Charleston shot a 585 to take the team title. Shepherd junior Owen Elliott (Hedgesville, W.Va./Hedgesville/Marshall) shot a two-round total of 143 (72-71) to gain medalist honors.

Elliott was followed by senior Drew Call (Charleston, W.Va./George Washington) (150, T-17th), junior Mike Graessle (Mount Airy, Md./South Carroll) (152, T-24th),  freshman Mason Kidwell (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) (156, T-33rd), and freshman Brian Sadler (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) (164, T-49th).

The Rams return to action on Sunday when they travel to the Cecil Spadafora Invitational in Indiana, Pa.
